This class involves setting an intention - example: I want to be able to do a pincha mayurasana. Examining the muscles that need to be organized (shoulder girdle) and released (triceps and lats) and then crafting a vinyasa/hatha sequence that targets a specific "goal" pose. After working on that for 15 - 20 minutes we then utilize rubber yoga therapy balls to deliver deep tissue release to the musculature that often limits the particular posture. At the end we take the time to really feel and bask in the echo of our practice - cultivating the neural connections to the areas that we worked and improving proprioception and greater awareness of our body and its relationship to itself and space.
